Bluebonnets on Westcott

I went to Wabash Antiques & Feed Store yesterday. On my way I spotted these medians filled with bluebonnets, the Texas state flower. Usually, views like these are seen west of Houston and closer to Austin, but I got my bluebonnet fix right here in the city.

I ran into my friend Diana while I was at Wabash. She will be selling fruit trees for Urban Harvest this Saturday at the East Side Farmer’s Market. It’s not too late to plant your fruit trees.

  1. Now I'm really jealous, Girl.
I've never seen so many Bluebonnets around here in Spring,TX and always had to go out on 2920 W and in direction Austin to see the big fields with Bluebonnets. Great pictures.

Btw, next week will be the weekend of the Bluebonnet festival and I hope I will get to see many many of our state flower on my trip out to Chappell Hill.
    Best Regards

  2. Can you share where on Westcott these are? I am in from out of town and would love to take a few pictures of my daughter in the bluebonnets before we head back home. We drove around Memorial Park this morning looking for bluebonnets, but the field where I took her pictures a couple years ago is wildflower-free. Thank you!
