The Amaryllis Trail

Amaryllis are great bulbs for the Houston area. We can plant them outdoors and leave them in the ground year-round. Even the ones you buy around Christmas can be planted outdoors in the spring. Plant them in full sun with their necks above ground.

  1. Simply gorgeous. Thanks for sharing! I still haven't gotten my amaryllis bulbs to bloom. Hoping they will within the next few months!

  2. Just last week I planted out my 2009-2010 amaryllis collection. I do hope they'll bloom as beautifully in my garden as yours do in your garden!

  3. What a nice selection of amaryllis you have!
I especially like the ones in the 3rd image from the top. can you tell me what's the name of them?
I would love to plant a few of them between my red/orange ones.
My amaryllis was done blooming a couple weeks ago and this year they the blooms didn't last as long as usual. I guess it got too quick too hot.
