Invasive Species

I stumbled across this video on Plano Prairie Garden. I’m dedicated to getting the word out about this problem. You’ll notice that this species has invaded my garden, as shown in my last Wordless Wednesday post. You must educate yourself before it’s too late.

  1. Oh no! They already invaded your garden. Don’t let them get out of control. Organic controls are generally effective, but Home Depot sells Gnome-B-Gon if you need to resort to chemical controls.

  2. When I was in Northern New Mexico a couple of summers ago we came upon an artist that made "Gnome Begones".

  3. We have a similar problem here in tropical areas with those bright, pink flamengos. I don't have the garden gnome problem in my garden because they don't do as well in shade.

  4. You'd think you'd be safe with just one. But somehow they must reproduce asexually. If even one gets into your garden, they will find a way to take over!
